John Wall and Ben Simmons parted ways from their teams in very different fashions during the NBA offseason. Wall and the Houston Rockets agreed with each other that it's time to move on. By contract, Simmons made himself look like an ungrateful, spoiled kid while the Philadelphia 76ers seemed like a greedy organization that wanted to squeeze every last drop of value trading their franchise player.
It's hardly news in today's NBA that star players want to leave the teams that brought them to the league. The question is why and how.
