Thirteen truck-loads of food aid from Pakistan arrived in eastern Afghan province Nangarhar through the land border on Sunday, Pakistani Ambassador to Afghanistan Mansoor Ahmad Khan tweeted.
"These humanitarian goods will be dispatched for distribution among needy people in various Afghan provinces," the ambassador said, adding that another four trucks of assistance would be crossing the border to Afghanistan soon.
"From today, Pakistan has started supplies of humanitarian assistance through land route," he said.
Pakistan has already sent aid to Afghanistan by air.
