The opening ceremony of the 11th Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) kicks off in Beijing, under the theme of "New Opportunity, New Horizon." The BJIFF is set to run from September 21 to 29 this year, with nearly 300 films to be screened. About 15 films are selected to compete for the Tiantan Award, an official competition section of the BJIFF.
