Five people were injured after a military training jet crashed on Sunday in a residential area in Lake Worth, the south central U.S. state of Texas, according to local media reports.

Two homes were damaged following the crash, according to the Fort Worth Police Department. All fires have been extinguished, the department said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
