Nearly 40 Chinese and foreign social organizations have submitted a written statement to the United Nations Human Rights Council, saying the right to development is a fundamental human right. The statement calls for the international community to promote the cause of human rights, especially in developing countries. It says social organizations will continue to advocate the common values of peace and freedom for all mankind, and promote sustainable development and international solidarity.
