Algeria closes airspace to Moroccan civil, military flights
Algeria has closed the country's airspace to all Moroccan civil and military aircraft. Algeria's supreme security council decided on September 22, citing "continued provocations and hostile practices on the Moroccan side." Algeria has cut diplomatic ties with Morocco late last month after Morocco's envoy in New York called for people in Algeria's Kabylie region to have the right of self-determination. Morocco said it regretted Algeria's decision to break relations.
