At the ongoing United Nations General Assembly, China has pledged to provide 2 billion doses of vaccines by the end of the year. The country will also donate more vaccines to developing countries, which have lagged behind developed countries in access to vaccines. The unequal distribution of vaccines has led to more pandemic challenges, threatened global economic recovery, and worsened the global divide.
