Chinese President Xi Jinping made phone calls to the leaders of the Solomon Islands and Tonga on Friday. Xi stressed that China is willing to assist the two countries in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. He also called for deeper cooperation in various fields within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
