China's Foreign Ministry has slammed the U.S. charges against Huawei Technologies CFO Meng Wanzhou, saying the case is "political persecution" against Chinese citizens with the aim of suppressing China's high-tech enterprises. Beijing's position on the case has been consistent and clear, the ministry said.
