Huawei's chief financial officer Meng Wanzhou expressed thanks to the people, media and governments of China and Canada in remarks after her house arrest in Canada ended on Friday.

Meng said her time in Canada over the past three years was disruptive but was also an invaluable experience.

"I will never forget all the good wishes I've received from people around the world. As the saying goes, the greater the difficulty, the greater the growth," she said.
