Customers queued on roadsides outside petrol stations across the UK on September 25, trying to reach the pumps, worried that they would be unable to fill up due to supply issues.

The UK government insists that Britain is not short of fuel, but some industry insiders claim that a lack of transport truckers spawned by Brexit and the pandemic has led to the supply pressure. 

Others argue that panic-buying is the reason for the long queues.
