The Chinese mainland recorded 25 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, including 11 local transmissions, the latest data from the National Health Commission showed on Wednesday.

In addition, 19 new asymptomatic cases were recorded, while 342 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

This brings the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 96,106, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 12,209 (11,901 recoveries, 213 deaths)

Macao: 71 (63 recoveries)

Taiwan: 16,205 (13,742 recoveries, 842 deaths)
