The Chinese national anthem was sung at a ceremony commemorating Martyrs' Day at Tian'anmen Square in central Beijing on Thursday. Chinese President Xi Jinping and other leaders of the Communist Party of China and the state attended the ceremony and presented flower baskets in memory of fallen national heroes.
