A giant sculpture of a young Chairman Mao Zedong stands on an isle in the middle of the Xiangjiang River in Changsha, the capital of central China's Hunan Province. The site receives visitors from across the country every day. During the National Day holiday, many more are expected to visit to honor Mao's contribution to the founding of the People's Republic of China.
