China is calling for the equitable distribution of vaccines. Zhang Jun, China's permanent representative to the United Nations (UN), told the UN on Friday that global distribution remains far from equal and that access and affordability have become urgent problems. He said he made the statement on behalf of 75 nations. Zhang also called for global financial institutions to support poorer countries in buying and manufacturing vaccines.
