The White House is pressing major U.S. airlines to mandate coronavirus vaccines for employees by December 8, reported Reuters citing sources on Friday.
There are no signs of extending the deadline, the report said.
White House COVID-19 response coordinator Jeffrey Zients has spoken to the chief executives of American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Southwest Airlines on Thursday about the vaccine requirements.
The U.S. has reported over 43.5 million cases, with death toll nearing 700,000, according to data released by Johns Hopkins University.
