A joint excavation and restoration research work for the newly-discovered dinosaur fossils has started in Lufeng city of southwest China's Yunnan Province.

In September, the two dinosaur fossils, exposed by heavy rain washing through the area, were first discovered by local villagers.

Lufeng city is the site of numerous Jurassic dinosaur discoveries, most famously the Lufengosaurus, the first dinosaur to be assembled and mounted for display in China in 1938.
