What many people don't know is that when you enter the ordinary-looking alley No. 15 in Dongmianhua Hutong (small lane), you can see a century-old brick arch. It feels as if you have traveled back to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) in a flash. This is the former residence of General Fengshan. The bricks of the arch were carved with a variety of flowers and animal patterns. It's amazing that they're preserved well after around a hundred years. Going further down the hutong, you can see the famous Central Academy of Drama, and the Penghao Theater, which has a humanistic and theatrical atmosphere.
