Live from La Palma in Spain's Canary Islands as lava streams continue to flow toward the sea. On October 1, the volcanic eruption opened two more fissures on its cone, spewing out lava. The authorities reported "intense" seismic activity in the area, and scientists recorded several earthquakes. The eruption began on September 19 and had fully or partially destroyed more than 1,000 buildings so far.
