The 2021 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine went to two scientists for their discovery of temperature and touch receptors in the human body. Xiao Bailong, a professor at Tsinghua University, was once a post-doctoral fellow under Ardem Patapoutian, one of the 2021 Nobel laureates. Xiao also made important contributions to the eventual discovery.
