A suicide bomb attack on worshipers at a Shiite mosque in the Afghan city of Kunduz on October 8, 2021 killed at least 50 and injured 70, the Kunduz deputy governor confirmed. Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said "an explosion took place in a mosque of our Shiite compatriots" and condemned the attack.
