Sun Yat-sen is a revered revolutionary leader in China, who played a pivotal role in ending the country's imperial rule. The legacy of Sun Yat-sen has been cherished by people on both sides of the Taiwan Straits. Taiwan is also holding commemorative events to mark the 110th anniversary of the 1911 Revolution.
