Sun Yat-sen is a revered revolutionary leader in China, who played a pivotal role in ending the country's imperial rule. Sun Yat-sen had his vision for China's development, which included world-class transportation networks and modernized industries. That was quite unimaginable to many at the time, given the poor living conditions and an agriculture-driven economy. But looking at China today, it appears the country has forged ahead beyond that vision under the Communist Party leadership. CGTN's Zhong Shi talked with Wang Xinsong, associate professor at the School of Social Development and Public Policy of Beijing Normal University, and current affairs commentator Einar Tangen. Tangen said that Dr. Sun Yat-sen at that time was thinking more of following a Western path for development but it was not fitting for China. Wang added that the Communist Party continues to seek and try out different paths for China and find the correct one for the country to achieve national development.
