After seeing an increase of extreme weather in recent years, the urgency to implement sustainable development has topped the agenda for many countries and global communities. At the UN General Assembly this year, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced that China will step up support for developing countries in promoting green and low-carbon energy and will not build new coal-fired power projects abroad. So how to achieve a balance between economic prosperity, the environment and the needs of society? And how will China contribute to the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development?
