As the autumn breath becomes stronger, the Bodinier's beautyberries growing in Beijing's Changying Park welcome the fruit season. The shrub's lilac-colored berries glow attractively in clusters in the sunlight on October 11, 2021.

Bodinier's beautyberry is a deciduous shrub that flowers in midsummer and produces berries in the autumn. It is used primarily for ornamental and medical purposes and is an ingredient in traditional Chinese medicine. Some species of the genus, like the American beautyberry, are also used as food.
