China formally established the first batch of national parks on October 12. Sanjiangyuan National Park, Wuyi Mountain National Park, Giant Panda National Park, Northeast China Tiger and Leopard National Park and Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park are among the list. 
Wuyi Mountain, in southeast China's Fujian Province, is an important area for biodiversity protection in China. There is a very complete mid-subtropical native forest ecosystem. Consisting of rolling peaks and numerous valleys, the Wuyi Mountains are home to different types of vegetation, thus offering special scenery with multiple landscapes.
