One person killed in the deadly fire in southern Taiwan's Kaohsiung was from the Chinese mainland, CMG reporter confirmed with a local funeral parlor on Friday.

According to local media reports, the blaze, which took place at a 40-year-old commercial and residential building in the early hours of Thursday, has caused significant casualties, including 46 dead and 41 injured.
