Chinese mainland reports 20 confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland recorded 20 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday, with one case of local transmission in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and 19 from overseas, data from the National Health Commission showed on Sunday.

In addition, 13 new asymptomatic cases were recorded, while 368 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

Among the new asymptomatic cases, two were locally transmitted in southwest China's Yunnan Province.

Confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland now total at 96,522, with the death toll remaining unchanged at 4,636.

The latest tally of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 12,291 (11,988 recoveries, 213 deaths)

Macao: 77 (66 recoveries)

Taiwan: 16,336 (13,742 recoveries, 846 deaths)
