The coordination center for the upcoming 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Beijing has been in full operation for almost a month amid testing events in eight competition venues that are underway until the end of 2021.

The center is responsible for coordinating information among all working units, sending commands, and monitoring and solving problems.

Day and night in the center, dozens of staff closely monitor competition venues and other facilities for the testing events through a big screen with four sections.

The first one will show the status of every venue. The second has information on events, competitions and accommodations. The third one will be used to coordinate with venues, transit hubs and hotels. And the last one is a mix of dozens of live feeds provided by the Olympic Broadcasting Service.

"These can help us operate with high efficiency during the games," said Yao Hui, head of the Venue Management Department of the Beijing Organizing Committee for 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

It's also a coordination platform for the organizing committee to communicate with the groups like the International Olympic Committee.

"We contact all sides, collect questions and concerns, and solve them together in a fast and very efficient way ... all by coordinating here," said Zheng Yicheng, secretary-general of the Main Operation Center of the committee.

The operations at the center are also a part of testing as staff accumulate experience and get ready for the Winter Games that will come in about 100 days.
