India, Israel, the U.S. and the United Arab Emirates are forming a new alliance for economic and political cooperation. Foreign ministers of the four countries held an online meeting on Monday.

They discussed ways to expand cooperation in the Middle East and Asia and to enhance maritime security.

The meeting was held when Indian Foreign Minister Subrah-manyam Jai-shankar was in Israel for a visit. He joined the meeting together with his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid from Jerusalem.
