The United States will not join Russia's talks on Afghanistan this week, the Department of State said on Monday. Washington cited logistical reasons but said it was open to participating in the future.
Moscow is hosting discussions with officials from the Taliban, China and Pakistan on Wednesday, focusing on reconstruction and humanitarian assistance.
