Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, inspected the estuary of the Yellow River in the city of Dongying, east China's Shandong Province, on October 20. Local officials vowed to follow Xi's instructions in stepping up ecological conservation and management of the Yellow River.
