According to TASS news agency, Russia and Israel have points of contact and opportunities on fighting terrorism in Syria, Russian President Vladimir Putin told Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Friday.

During their talks, Putin mentioned that there are a lot of challenging issues in Syria, but "there are also some points of contact and opportunities for cooperation, especially, on countering terrorism," TASS quoted the Russian leader as saying.

Putin also said he's willing to exchange views on the situation in the Middle East.
