Twelve trekkers were confirmed dead in northern Indian states of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, reported The Times of India. All the victims were Indian citizens.
Twenty-two trekkers from two teams went missing in the storm-hit mountainous region earlier this week. Six people were rescued, and four others are still unaccounted for, according to the report.
Rescue work is underway.
