An additional four million doses of China's Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines have arrived in Myanmar. Myanmar has purchased a total of 24 million doses of the jab. With the latest delivery, 20 million have been sent. China has also supplied 5.5 million doses of the Sinopharm vaccine to Bangladesh. China had previously sent vaccines to the south Asian country, both from Sinovac and Sinopharm. This allowed Bangladesh to resume a vaccination drive, after India banned exports of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
