The Chinese mainland has reported 50 new COVID-19 infections, including 38 local cases. Of the local infections, northwest China's Gansu Province logged 17 and neighboring Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region reported 11. The Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region recorded three new cases, and the capital Beijing reported six new cases, prompting strict control measures. The southwestern province of Yunnan reported one case.
