China's Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council, a mechanism founded in response to the COVID-19 public health emergency, holds a press conference on strengthening COVID-19 containment and vaccination efforts in autumn and winter. More than 2.238 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines had been administered on the Chinese mainland as of Wednesday, data from the National Health Commission showed this week.

Officials from the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the National Health Commission, the General Administration of Customs as well as experts from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention attend the press conference and answer media questions.
