China launches satellite to validate space debris mitigation tech

China successfully launched its Shijian-21 satellite atop a Long March-3B carrier rocket from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province at 9:27 a.m. on Sunday. The satellite has entered its preset orbit.

The Shijian-21 satellite's mission is to validate space debris mitigation technology.

Notably, this is the 393rd flight of the Long March carrier rocket family.
