All tourism activities in Lanzhou City in northwest China's Gansu Province are halted amid a new surge of COVID-19 cases, local authorities said at a press conference on Sunday. 

Tourists currently in the city will all be quarantined for virus test and medical observation. 

By Saturday, the city logged 30 locally transmitted confirmed cases since a new wave of COVID-19 infections hits various regions in China.
