Sixteen people have been evacuated from a burning cargo ship carrying mining chemicals off the west coast of Canada. The Canadian Coast Guard says the fire is still smoldering but under control. Forty containers fell overboard and some are still burning. The ship is expelling toxic gas, but an official said there is "no safety risk" to people on land. The ship reported rough weather on Friday.
