China's Inner Mongolia reports 16 new COVID-19 cases

China is racing to contain its largest COVID-19 outbreak in two months. The country has reported 29 new local transmissions on the mainland with most in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Infections were also recorded in Beijing along with the provinces of Gansu and Shandong as well as the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
