Senior officials from China and the United States held talks over economic and trade issues on Tuesday. China's Vice Premier Liu He spoke via video link with U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. Both sides agreed that it's critical to maintain communication and strengthen coordination. China called the exchanges practical, candid and constructive. Liu also expressed concerns over American sanctions and called for the lifting of tariffs and the fair treatment of Chinese enterprises.
