China issued a master plan for the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle as part of efforts to form a new super-region in the country's southwest.

The plan, made public on October 20 by the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council, laid out a series of measures, ranging from scientific and technological innovation to urbanization and from 5G network to pilot free trade zones.

It aims to turn the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle to a new driver and an important growth engine of the country's high-quality development.

Gianluca Luisi from Italy is the CEO of Chongqing Dezhuang International Trading Co., Ltd. Living in Chongqing for 10 years, he has turned into a Sichuan-Chongqing food promoter from a diplomat, believing that food is the best ambassador and hoping to promote Sichuan-Chongqing culture through food.  Over the last few years, he has introduced hundreds of Sichuan-Chongqing cuisines to more than 30 countries and regions. He is full of expectations for the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and believes that he can also make a contribution to this strategy. He predicts that soon when people talk about China, they will not only think of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou but also Sichuan and Chongqing.
