In the sixth episode of our special series, "Down the Road," CGTN correspondent Danial Khan meets Issa Omid, an English teacher who decided to stay in Bamiyan, Afghanistan, after the Taliban returned to power. Omid believes students need education, and says the Taliban encouraged him to reopen the school. But Afghanistan's economic crisis has had a direct impact on him and his family. He recently lost a child to malnutrition. Khan says he is determined to ask the Taliban in later interviews if any help could be offered to teachers like Omid.
