It brings the ancient classics "alive," demonstrating Chinese wisdom, ethos and values implied in the ancient classics.
This episode focuses on the end of the Spring and Autumn Period, when Confucius, in his 70s, called his disciples together, who discuss the collection and codifying of Confucius' words and deeds for future generations.
Sa Beining, a contemporary reader, tells the disciples that the words and deeds they want to collect would be known as "Analects of Confucius" and would have far-reaching influence.
Sa also takes Zigong to a library where Zigong is very excited to see that 2,500 years in the future children are learning "Analects". Then Zigong tells Sa about his first meeting with Confucius who patiently answers his questions and accepts him as a disciple.
