China has criticized the U.S. reliance on its intelligence agencies instead of scientists in tracing the origins of the novel coronavirus as "a complete political farce." The Chinese embassy in Washington made the remarks in a statement following the release on Friday of a more detailed report by the Office of the U.S. Director of National Intelligence on the origins of COVID-19. In it, American intelligence agencies said they may never be able to identify how COVID-19 began.
