There's no prospect for China's Taiwan region other than its reunification with the Chinese mainland, and the region shares no other international status besides being a part of China, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Friday while attending the G20 summit in Rome, Italy.

Answering a media question about some countries' recent statement on Taiwan, Wang warned that these countries, including the U.S., will certainly pay a price if they continue on the path of obstructing the one-China principle.
