China's manufacturing PMI edges down to 49.2 in October

The China's manufacturing official purchasing managers' index in manufacturing has come in at 49.2 for this month. That is down from 49.6 in September. The PMI for the non-manufacturing sector came in at 52.4. A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while a reading below reflects contraction.
