Chinese officials continue to battle a growing outbreak on the mainland, with Beijing announcing four new local cases on Tuesday and one area elevated to medium-risk. On Monday, a total of 54 new local infections were reported, half of which are from Heilongjiang Province. Officials say this recent wave began two weeks ago, originating from a local tour group and spreading to hundreds across a total of 16 provinces.
