Afghan officials deny reported explosion in Jalalabad

Local security officials in eastern Afghanistan's Nangarhar province have denied a roadside mine explosion in the city of Jalalabad on Wednesday, in which TOLOnews reported two deaths, citing sources.

Officials instead claimed that security forces had defused a mine before anyone was harmed, TOLOnews also reported.
